Why We Built DevBuildTool Agents
Large Language Models are remarkable at synthesizing unstructured text, but in regulated domains like contractor insurance, legal compliance, and operational auditing, probabilistic "hallucinations" and black-box opinions are unacceptable.
We separated the intelligence stack into two distinct layers:
1. Confirmed Requirements
Requirements are extracted with their source pages, remain editable, and cannot affect a check until the user confirms them.
2. Independent AI Review
The AI assesses every confirmed rule against the original documents. Decisive findings require citations that are validated against available source text.
Our Engineering Principles
- Evidence-Backed Citations: Every fact has an traceable citation to its source document and page number.
- Zero Data Retention: Files are held in memory only for the duration of the request and are never stored in permanent databases.
- Bring Your Own Key (BYOK): Users can provide their own model provider credentials without penalty.
- Metered, Accountable Billing: Pay only for the checks and extractions you execute with transparent credit pricing.
